6x6m covered event stage with PA wings and branded backdrop

Stage, Sound & Lighting Hire

Stages, PA, engineers and lighting from the same warehouse, whether you need a 1x1m InteliStage riser for a conference room or a 7x6m mobile trailer stage for a full outdoor show. We have been supplying event kit from Rotherham and Sheffield since 1999, and the useful bit is that the stage, sound, lights, power and paperwork can all come from one place.

What is in the range

This category covers the bits that make a presentation, performance or outdoor event actually work: modular stage decks, covered truss stages, mobile trailer stages, PA speakers, lecterns, sound engineers, festoon lighting, LED battens, floodlights, emergency lights and the Stephill SLT5000 lighting tower.

You will see the same sort of hire listed as event production, AV hire, PA hire, stage hire, event lighting or outdoor event infrastructure. We use those names too when they are useful, but most bookings are just a practical mix of raised platform, microphones, speakers, lights and an engineer on site to run it when the job needs one.

The stage end starts with 1x1m InteliStage decks and standard modular stage heights of 200mm, 540mm and 725mm. The compact 3x3m mini stage is built for exhibition halls, product demos and small speaker sessions, with a 6m by 6m working footprint including clearance. The 4x4m covered stage suits smaller festivals, light switch-ons and product launches. The 6x6m covered truss stage gives 36 square metres of deck space with rigging points for PA and lighting, while the 7x6m mobile trailer stage has a listed one-hour setup time when you want a roof, side walls and a 42m² stage area for an outdoor event.

Sound can be as simple as a single 15-inch 800W Bluetooth PA speaker with USB, SD and microphone inputs, or it can be a full line array system with microphones, monitors and an engineer. The lighting range is just as mixed: warm festoon runs priced per 100 metres, 150W IP65 floodlights with 12,000 lumens each, marquee strip lights and exit lights, plus the Stephill SLT5000 mobile light tower with four 200W LED heads, a 5.4m mast and 4.5kVA generator output.

We own and maintain 95% of the equipment on the website, store it in our 25,000 sq ft warehouse, and send it out on our own vehicles. For stage and sound work that matters, because a missing cable, a late engineer or a stage document stuck with a different supplier can hold up the whole build.

Common setups

  • Exhibition and conference stages

A 3x3m mini stage, lectern, PA speaker, microphones and a countdown timer will cover a lot of stand talks and product demonstrations. For bigger keynotes, the 6x6m covered truss stage gives more room for a panel, screen and branded backdrop.

  • Outdoor performance stages

The 4x4m, 6x6m and 7x6m trailer stages cover most community events, festivals, light switch-ons and live sets. PA wings, bottom skirt banners, line array systems, stage lighting and audio technicians can all be added to the same order.

  • Marquee and site lighting

Festoon lighting works for atmosphere over bars and seating areas, while LED battens, strip lights, emergency lights and 150W floodlights are the more practical answer for marquees, back-of-house routes and work areas.

  • Engineers and crew

A sound engineer is available when the event needs more than a plug-in speaker. That usually means bands, award nights, panels, multiple microphones or a FOH mix that needs looking after while the show is running.

What is included

  • Delivery, setup and breakdown

Delivered, built, tested and collected by our own team. We are based in Rotherham, five minutes from the A1, M1 and M18, and travel UK-wide for larger packages.

  • £5M insurance

£5 million public liability insurance is included as standard, with indemnity to principal cover when staff are supplied.

  • Paperwork before the event

Risk assessments, method statements, insurance documents and stage paperwork can be emailed to you or your venue before the build.

  • In-house branding

Our design team can produce side PA wing graphics, bottom stage banners and lectern branding, so the stage looks like part of the event rather than borrowed kit at the back of the room.

  • PA and microphones

Choose a simple Bluetooth speaker for small rooms or add line array PA, microphones, monitors and a sound engineer for bands, panels and award nights.

  • Power and lighting support

Lighting towers, floodlights, festoon, marquee lighting and generators are available alongside the stage and PA, which keeps the load planning with one supplier.

Where this kit tends to go

We supply stage and sound packages for exhibition stands, conference halls, awards marquees, charity walks, Christmas light switch-ons, council events, product launches and outdoor music sets. The same core kit changes shape depending on the venue: a lectern and compact PA at Manchester Central, a branded mini stage at the NEC Birmingham, or a covered outdoor stage with lighting for a council or town-centre event.

We also deliver to ExCeL London, Leeds First Direct Arena and other major venues, and we can fold in related kit such as generators, cable protectors, barriers and marquees if the site needs more than the stage itself.

Common questions

Which stage size is right for a presentation or panel?

For a small stand talk or single speaker, the 3x3m mini stage is usually enough and its listed working footprint is 6m by 6m including clearance. The 6x6m covered truss stage gives 36 square metres of deck space, so it is the better fit for a lectern, panel seating, screen space and PA wings.

Can you supply sound as well as the stage?

Yes. The range includes a standalone 15-inch 800W Bluetooth PA speaker, microphones, line array PA systems and sound engineers. If you tell us whether it is speeches, a panel, a DJ or a live band, we will quote the stage and sound together rather than leaving you to match separate suppliers.

What lighting works for an outdoor evening event?

It depends what needs lighting. Festoon is the warmer option for bars, seating areas and marquees; 150W IP65 floodlights are a brighter practical light; and the Stephill SLT5000 lighting tower gives four 200W LED heads on a 5.4m mast with generator output as well.
