We put together whole-event packages for the gala days, town shows and charity fundraisers a committee has been planning since about February.
Corporate work tends to be one game on one stand. Community work is almost never like that. Somebody has a field, a budget signed off by a committee, an insurance requirement from the council, and a date that cannot move because it is in the parish newsletter. What they need is most of an event, delivered on the same morning by people who have done it before.
That is the bulk of what we do close to home. We have supplied Barnsley Metrodome since 2016 and Elsecar Heritage Centre since 2019, both including repeat bookings for Barnsley MBC. The Niagara Centre in north-west Sheffield has run since 2016 with direct bookings from Sheffield City Council and local adoption services, and Hillsborough Arena takes full-day attraction packages across the park.
These six come up on nearly every community booking.

Generators supplied where there's no mains on site.
Uniformed operators on the equipment that needs them, so your volunteers can run the raffle and the tea urn instead.
Gazebos, marquees and a plan for which items come off first if the forecast turns, and it is worth agreeing that before the day.
Putting every attraction in one corner makes a bottleneck. We will mark up a site plan if you send us the field dimensions.
Multiple items on the same delivery normally come down in price, which matters when the budget has to be approved in a meeting.
This is the traditional stall end of the range, alongside the big inflatables that keep a queue of children busy for four hours. Plenty of it starts under £100.
Stage, PA and the bits nobody thinks about
A gala day usually needs more than attractions. Somewhere for the brass band or the dance school to perform, a PA that reaches the far end of the field, gazebos for the stalls, tables and chairs, barriers, cable protectors and enough power to run the lot.
We started out in PA hire before diversifying, so this end of it is not an afterthought. We supplied the stage and PA for HesFest at Hesley Wood Scout Activity Centre, and a 7x6m mobile trailer stage with a flown line-array PA for the Migration Matters Festival at Kelham Island Museum. One supplier for the games and the staging means one delivery and one invoice.

Where there is genuinely a lot of space, the packages get bigger. Newark Showground has taken fairground rides, Laser Quest, a Bungee Run, Football Darts, Human Table Football and a Giant Helter-Skelter Slide across its 50-acre site, including repeat county camp bookings for Nottinghamshire Scouts since 2021. Penistone Showground and Doncaster Racecourse both work well for the same reason, which is open ground with proper vehicle access.
If your event is a staff family day rather than a public one, corporate fun day entertainment is the closer fit. For the traditional stall end of it on its own, look at carnival games.
Jo M works for a large parish council and said they have "used DB Entertainment for the past 10 years" for their annual fun day, and that "the list of items for hire is never ending". Pinx Salon, who have booked their annual charity fun day with us since 2013, made the point that "the quality of the equipment is well maintained and a risk assessment is in place for each piece", and that booking the activities "staffed and powered" leaves the organisers "to concentrate on other aspects on the day". Ellen said we were "punctual, set up with no fuss and cleared the area up after the event too".
Committees usually need a written quote to approve, so we will send one you can take to a meeting. Ring 0845 468 0590 if you want to talk through options first.
