A Soft Play Centre on a Trailer

The Mega Jungle Trailer is a towable soft play unit built to look like a real bus. We tow it onto your site, the children come up the steps and play inside. It's enclosed and heated, so the play area is out of the rain and it gets booked all year round. You'll see kit like this called a soft play bus, a kids' party bus or a mobile soft play trailer, and it's all the same idea.

What's Inside

Nearly 30ft of play spread over three levels. The big ball pool is the centrepiece, with the wobbly slide and the twister slide both running down into it. There's a scramble net to climb, a roller squeeze to push through, a twister and spinner to sit on, bish and bash obstacles and a soft step for getting up and down. The jungle theme runs through the padding, with tree-trunk columns and animal artwork on the panels, and there are separate games rooms across the levels.

How the Sessions Run

Whoever is supervising lets children in a set number at a time, shoes go on the storage rack by the door, and there are two entrances and exits with full side safety netting. Ages run from 1 to 12. It's a children's unit, so adults stay on the outside of the netting.

Size and Access

The unit is almost 30ft long and laid out across three levels, built to child scale throughout - the upper levels are not sized for grown-ups.

We tow the trailer directly to your site, so we need vehicle access to the spot where it will sit, plus room for the steps and a short queue. Tell us about the access when you enquire and we will plan the run in with you.

It will not sit outdoors on concrete, on wood chip, or on a mix of grass and hard surface. If your site is one of those, ask us and we will suggest something from the inflatable games range that suits it.

The unit is ours, kept and maintained at our 25,000 sq ft warehouse near Sheffield, so there's no third-party supplier between you and the kit on the day. We've been hiring play equipment and event rides around Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Worksop and Chesterfield for over 25 years, and we deliver nationwide for larger bookings.

Supervision

Everything we hire out has to be supervised at all times by a responsible adult aged 18 or over. If you'd rather not tie up your own people, we can send a trained attendant to run the unit for the day. Mention it when you ask for a quote and we'll price it in.

Delivery and Booking

Our base is five minutes off the A1, M1 and M18. We tow the trailer to your chosen location, set it up, check you're happy with it and collect it at a time that suits. Hire starts at £495 plus VAT, and delivery charges and minimum order values may apply depending on hire duration and location.

December and summer Saturdays go first for this one. Through the winter we dress the trailer for Christmas events, and the gallery shows it with Santa, sleighs and Frozen characters, so it goes out a fair bit alongside Santa's Grotto as part of a wider Christmas entertainment lineup. For younger guests the juvenile Chair-O-Planes adds a ride next to it, and the rest of our funfair rides give older siblings more to choose from.

We've delivered the Play Bus as part of full event packages at Hillsborough Arena in Sheffield, Barnsley Metrodome and Newark Showground, usually alongside climbing walls, assault courses, children's rides and generator power.

Play Bus Hire Questions

What ages is the Mega Jungle Play Bus for?

Children aged 1 to 12. The unit is built to child scale and adults aren't allowed on it. An attendant lets a set number of children in at a time, so the session rotates and it doesn't get overcrowded inside.

Can it be hired in winter or wet weather?

Yes. It's enclosed and heated, so the children play out of the rain and it books all year round, with December one of its busiest months. It also works indoors on artificial grass or hard floors where the venue has the space.

Do we need to staff it ourselves?

Every hire needs a responsible adult aged 18 or over supervising at all times. If you'd rather keep your own team free, we can send a trained attendant to run it. Ask for one when you request your quote.

What space, surface and access does it need?

Allow for nearly 30ft of unit plus room for the steps and a short queue. Because we tow the trailer into position we need vehicle access to the spot where it will sit. It works outdoors on grass or hard standing such as tarmac, and indoors on artificial grass or hard floors. It is not suitable on outdoor concrete, on wood chip, or on a mixed grass and hard surface.

The Play Bus will hold a field on its own for a while, but it usually goes out with a few more rides and side stalls around it.
