The Runaway Train is a track-based family funfair ride - a children's roller coaster, essentially - where a chain of cars travels along a looped track with a series of undulating rises and dips. At one end there's a large decorated frontboard featuring the cartoon characters the ride is named after, with star-decorated lettering along the top. It's one of those rides that's visible from across the field and draws people over before they've quite decided they want a go.
We use it regularly at corporate family fun days, council-organised community events and Christmas markets. It's one of the few rides that genuinely covers all ages - children want back on straight away, and adults will ride alongside them. The "ALL THE FAMILY CAN ENJOY" sign on the barriers is accurate.
As a standalone hire it works well, and it pairs naturally with our other funfair rides for a full fun-fair setup.
