The traditional side-stall classic
The coconut shy is about as old as fairgrounds get. Coconuts sit balanced on top of a row of posts, you're handed a set of wooden balls, and you throw to knock one clean off its stand to win. It's a game everyone recognises on sight, and it sits naturally in a row of side stalls at a fete, fun day or village green.
We run it as a staffed stall - one of our team sets it up and stays to run it, usually for around four hours, and the hire comes with prizes to hand out. It dresses up with a traditional striped front and goes under a gazebo, so it works indoors or out. If you're expecting a big turnout we can bring extra prizes so you don't run dry halfway through the afternoon.
We own and stock the stall ourselves rather than sourcing it in, so it arrives on our own van with our own staff. We've been hiring out side stalls like this from Sheffield since 1999.
