150W LED Floodlight Hire

A 12,000 lumen cool white work light we add to marquee, exhibition and outdoor event bookings when the build or workspace needs proper illumination.

A Bright, Simple Work Light for the Build

The 150W LED floodlight is the workhorse light we send out when a stand, marquee or outdoor event area needs proper illumination rather than mood lighting. It pushes out 12,000 lumens in a 4000K cool white, which is the colour temperature that reads as clean and neutral to most people and keeps build photos, signage and work surfaces looking true rather than warm.

The body is aluminium with a toughened glass front, rated IP65, so it is dust-tight and copes with rain. It will sit happily in an open marquee or on an exhibition build where the loading doors are off until opening morning. It is a fixed, non-dimmable unit; for ambient and decorative lighting look at the festoon lighting or the 5ft LED strip lights.

Each light comes on a 1 metre cable fitted with a 16-amp plug - the blue industrial type that runs off our generators and power distribution units rather than a normal 13-amp wall socket. If your venue power is on the domestic circuit we can supply an adaptor or re-spec the distribution. Tell us what you are plugging into when you enquire.

This is an add-on light rather than a standalone hire - we send it out as part of a larger marquee, exhibition, stage or power package where the build or workspace needs bright, even working light. The per-unit price is low and is usually a line item on a wider quote. Tell us the venue, the size of the area you need lit, how many hours the lights need to run, and what power is available - normal 13-amp wall sockets, 16-amp event outlets, or generator supply - and we will spec the right number of units and the right powering for them.

We have been hiring out event equipment since 1999 from a 25,000 sq ft warehouse in Rotherham, five minutes from the A1, M1 and M18, and we own and maintain around 95% of the kit we send out. The floodlights are no exception. We deliver regularly to NEC Birmingham, ExCeL London, Manchester Central, Harrogate Convention Centre and ACC Liverpool, and across South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester.

Questions About the Floodlight

What plug is fitted, and will it go into a normal wall socket?

Each light comes on a 1 metre cable with a 16-amp plug - the blue industrial type used on event power distribution. It will not plug straight into a standard 13-amp domestic wall socket. If your venue only has 13-amp supply we can supply an adaptor or spec a power distribution unit with 16-amp outlets to run a bank of them.

Can these floodlights stay outside overnight?

Yes, within reason. The housing is IP65 rated, which means it is dust-tight and protected against water jets, so rain at an open marquee or outdoor build is not a problem. IP65 is not rated for submersion, so they should not be sat in standing water or rigged where they will be submerged. Mount them angled down so water runs off the glass rather than pooling.

Is the brightness adjustable?

No. This is a fixed-output, non-dimmable LED unit. It is built for working light over a stand, marquee or build area rather than ambience. For decorative and ambient lighting, the festoon lighting and 5ft LED strip lights are the better fit.
