Batten LED Lighting

These are Equinox RGB Power Battens - metre-long colour bars, each packing 240 RGB LEDs split into 8 segments. Point them up a wall for a soft colour wash, run them along a stage edge, or let the sound-active mode do the work and they'll move and change in time with the music. When we supply them alongside one of our sound systems we sync the two, which does a lot for a dance floor.

There's a full colour-mixing palette on board plus several chase programs, selectable from the control panel along with brightness and speed. If you're running a proper lighting desk they take DMX too, with 2 to 26 channels selectable depending on how much control you want.

They hire from £30 and go out with everything from village hall parties to corporate stages. If you'd like them as part of a package with PA and sound or staging, say so and we'll quote it together.

Good to know

Power and DMX daisy-chain from unit to unit, so a run of battens along a wall only needs one feed at the end. Master/slave mode keeps a set of them changing together without a lighting desk - handy when there's no tech on the job.

They're best treated as an indoor fitting - there's no weatherproof rating on them - so for outdoor colour we'd point you at our festoon lighting or 150W floodlights instead. Not sure what the room needs? Tell us the venue and we'll suggest a rig.

Which locations do we cover?

Our warehouse near Sheffield is five minutes from the M1, and we've been sending lighting out with party and event jobs since 1999 - locally and to the big venues like the NEC, ExCeL London and Manchester Central. Delivery is in our own vehicles by our own team, and everything goes out with £5 million public liability cover as standard.
