Maze Runner - Rotating Labyrinth Game Hire

The Maze Runner is a rotating ball-in-maze challenge on a 7ft pedestal stand. The game board is a large circular disc with an intricate raised red labyrinth pattern on a black background. A red steering wheel at the base of the unit rotates the entire disc - the ball sits in the maze channels and rolls as the disc spins, Crystal Maze-style, and the player's job is to control that rotation precisely enough to steer it through.

Players turn the wheel to rotate the disc, using that rotation to steer a ball from the START position through the maze channels to the FINISH hole. Get too much speed on a straight and the ball overshoots the next turn; too cautious and it stalls mid-channel. The layout stays fixed, so players who come back for a second go tend to get systematically faster - which is useful if you're running a timed competition across the day.

There's a built-in digital countdown timer with STOP and START buttons. Two balls are included. The unit is self-explanatory to play without an operator, and we can supply a staffed hire if you'd rather your own team focused on conversations rather than explaining the game.

We've been in exhibition game hire since 1999, and we own this unit in-house from our 25,000 sq ft warehouse in Rotherham - five minutes from the A1, M1 and M18.

Branding

The base of the unit takes a full branded wrap. The image shows a version we supplied for Vanguard, the asset management company, with custom red panels replacing the standard sides. We've also supplied it branded for Gallagher Insurance at a housing association conference, where they ran a timed competition across the day using a separate external scoreboard alongside it.

Branding is printed, applied and removed by our in-house team in Rotherham, so there's no outside print supplier involved. We can retain the bottom board after the event for future bookings at no extra charge - we remain the owners of it.

Panel Price
Printed bottom board £49
Scoreboard top £29
Full front wrap £69

Bottom board dimensions: 595mm wide × 745mm high. Branding is vinyl transfers produced for a single hire period. More about our branding service.

How It Works

Players stand at the front of the stand and grip the red steering wheel. Turning the wheel rotates the entire circular maze disc - the ball rolls within the fixed maze channels as the disc turns, and you control the speed and direction of rotation to steer it around junctions without letting it backtrack down the wrong channel. The aim is to navigate the ball all the way from START to the FINISH hole.

Because the whole board turns as one piece, every decision compounds: rotating left to clear one junction might close off the next one. Most players pick up the basic mechanic in a few seconds, but consistently fast runs take a fair bit of practice - which is what keeps a queue at the game rather than a one-and-done.

For a timed competition setup across a full event day, the built-in timer is enough for individual attempts. If you want a visible running leaderboard, we can supply a separate large digital timer alongside it.

Which Locations Do We Cover?

From our Rotherham base we're five minutes from the A1, M1 and M18. We deliver regularly to ExCeL London, NEC Birmingham, Manchester Central, Olympia London, Harrogate Convention Centre and ACC Liverpool, as well as most other major UK exhibition venues. For larger multi-item packages we also cover Europe.

Maze Runner works well as part of a puzzle and skill games line-up on an exhibition stand. It pairs naturally with Giant Labyrinth Game, Crack the Code, Giant Buzz Wire and Beat the Buzzer. For a full carnival games package, it sits alongside King of the Hill, Flap Attack, Roller Bowler, Whip n Skip and Strike Zone.
