Whip n Skip Hire
It's a 6-foot tabletop track in red and black. You get five flat discs per round - hockey-puck-weight, easy to hold - and the idea is to push each one along the lane, around the U-turn at the far end, and into one of three scoring rings on the way back: 25, 50 or 100 points. Miss all three and you score nothing for that disc.
The skill is in the push: too little and the disc stalls in the bend; too much and it skips straight past all the rings. Finding the right amount of force takes a few attempts, which is exactly what keeps people queuing up for another round rather than wandering off.
There's no power needed, and a player gets through five shots in around a minute, so it handles a queue fairly comfortably at busy events. It works on its own or alongside other carnival and skill games if you're building a bigger setup.
We've been hiring out exhibition and carnival games since 1999, and we own this kit outright - it's maintained and checked at our warehouse in Rotherham before every hire.
