Digital Whack a Mole
This is the arcade Whac-A-Mole brought up to date. Two players stand at the cabinet, LED targets light up at random across the deck, and you race your opponent to hit them with a foam hammer before they go dark. Every hit registers on the digital scoreboard, a round runs about thirty seconds, and the winner shows at the end. There are no mechanical moles on a motor to jam or wear out, so it holds up well through a long day on a busy stand.
The unit is made in the UK by Game Works Creative and runs on their IPS (Interactive Play System) - the same target technology as our IPS Podium Challenge. It's a compact freestanding cabinet, around 1.22m wide and 0.69m deep, with built-in speakers, a colour-changing LED strip round the rim and a battery that tops up in the background so it isn't tied to the wall all day. It runs from a single 13A socket.
You'll see it called digital whack a mole, electronic whack a mole, or just a 1v1 reaction game - it's the same thing.
