Chaos 4 Player Strike a Light Hire

Four visitors can play together in a round lasting no more than 60 seconds. Hire starts at £395, with custom top-panel and skirt branding available for exhibition stands and brand activations.

Four visitors on one reaction game

Chaos Strike a Light - also listed as Chaos 4, Chaos Strike-a-Light or a four-player reaction table - is made in Canada by Aquaventronics. It can run with two or four players, though the four-player format is the reason it earns its floor space on a busy stand.

Each player takes a colour: red, blue, yellow or green. The 16 dome targets change colour around the full playing surface, so a player's next light can appear away from the section directly in front of them. A correct hit adds a point, the first player to 100 wins, and no round runs beyond the 60-second maximum printed on the unit. Four separate LED displays face the four player positions and show the running scores.

For an exhibition, that gives you up to four visitor places in one short round rather than feeding people through singly. Any lead form, prize handover or leaderboard entry happens outside the game time, so include that when working out the queue rather than relying on a made-up people-per-hour figure.

The stock Chaos artwork is bright enough for a general games area, but an exhibition version can carry your own campaign across the two surfaces visitors see throughout the round.

The Bywaters unit in the photo was turned into "Whack-a-Waste", with the four playing areas relabelled as different waste streams and matching artwork on the skirt. It shows the useful difference between putting a logo beside a game and making the game itself part of the campaign.

Send us your logo, brand guidelines or finished campaign artwork with the enquiry. Our in-house team prepares visuals for sign-off, prints and applies the approved vinyl, and removes it after the hire. Use the 11ft x 7ft operating area when you draw the stand, not only the equipment dimensions. With four players, people need access around the table and room to reach across it without standing in the gangway or among your stand furniture. The unit is 2.6ft high, while the stated clear height is 6ft.

Send us the stand plan, floor finish, access details and the proposed socket position before the booking is signed off. If the full playing area will not sit inside the stand boundary, we can look at the two-player Strike a Light or another interactive exhibition game instead.

Plan the visitor flow around the round

A full group is four players and the game stops when somebody reaches 100 hits or the 60-second limit is reached. The next group can then take the four positions together. That fixed ceiling makes the playing time predictable, but the complete interaction may be longer if your stand team is collecting details, explaining a promotion or recording scores.

For open play, have the next group ready while the current round is running. For a day-long competition, add our magnetic leaderboard and decide in advance which result your team will record after each game. We can also supply a trained attendant to handle instructions, changeovers and the score sheet while your own people carry on with stand conversations.

The bright targets and four player-facing displays make the action readable from more than one side, which is useful on an island stand or at the open corner of a larger build. The 11ft x 7ft space still needs to stay clear however the stand is arranged.

Roadshows and multi-site activations

Send the full schedule rather than separate enquiries for each stop: venue addresses, show dates, opening hours, loading slots and whether any sites run at the same time. We can plan consecutive dates as one equipment route, or coordinate delivery, staffing and branded games across simultaneous locations, with the actual equipment allocation confirmed before we quote.

That last point matters with a particular model such as Chaos. We will not promise the same unit in two cities on the same day and leave the problem until build-up. If dates overlap, we will confirm what is available at each site and whether another reaction game should carry the same campaign at one of them.

We have hired exhibition games since 1999 and hold our equipment in a 25,000 sq ft warehouse in Rotherham, five minutes from the A1, M1 and M18. Around 95% of the range is owned and maintained by us, and our own team handles delivery and set-up. It means a national booking can still have one contact, one schedule and one invoice.

Questions specific to Chaos

Can Chaos run with two players rather than four?

Yes. The unit can be run for two or four players. Four-player rounds make the best use of its format and give a busy exhibition stand more places in each game, but two-player sessions are available when the audience or competition format calls for them.

Does every Chaos round last 60 seconds?

No. It is a race to 100 hits, with 60 seconds as the maximum rather than a fixed round length. A player can reach 100 before the limit. The 60-second maximum is printed on the playing surface.

How much room should we allow around Chaos on a stand?

Put an 11ft x 7ft area with 6ft clear height on the stand plan. The equipment dimensions are 8.5ft x 4.2ft x 2.6ft high, but using only that footprint leaves out the player space around the four sides.

Which parts of Chaos can carry our campaign artwork?

The four-sided skirt is £145+VAT and the top playing panel is £175+VAT, and they can be ordered together. Send your logo, brand guidelines or campaign artwork; our team prepares a visual for sign-off, prints and applies the vinyl in-house, then removes it after the hire.
