Chaos - Four-Player Reaction Game Hire

Chaos - sometimes listed as Chaos Strike a Light or Chaos 4 - is the four-player version of Strike a Light. Where Strike a Light keeps each player's buttons on their own side of the table, Chaos moves the coloured lights around the whole surface. Each player is assigned a colour - red, blue, green or yellow - and their buttons can appear anywhere on the board, including on the opposite side from where they're standing. First player to hit 100 of their own colour wins; games last 30 seconds.

With four players, the board is busy - everyone's tracking a different colour while the lights shift position, which means a fair bit of reaching across the cabinet. Two players is more manageable but still fast.

The cabinet is a black cube at roughly table height, with dome-shaped LED buttons spread across the top surface and a central digital display showing each player's score and the time remaining throughout the round. There's nothing to configure between rounds.

Branding

The unit takes custom branding on two surfaces. The game skirt - the printed wrap around the four sides - is £145+VAT. The top fascia panel, which replaces the Chaos! artwork with your own design, is £175+VAT. Both can be ordered together, and all artwork is designed, printed, applied and removed by our in-house team in Rotherham.

The Bywaters "Whack-a-Waste" version in the gallery is a good example of what's possible with a full rebrand: the top panel was redesigned as a recycling-sorting game - category zones for food recycling, glass and so on replacing the four player-colour sections - which made the game work as a recycling activity rather than a general reaction game. The sides were wrapped in Bywaters corporate colours with no trace of the Chaos! graphics.

For exhibition use, having the game wrapped in your branding means people spend a 30-second round interacting with your graphics rather than the stock Chaos! artwork.

How It Works

Four players stand around the outside of the cabinet, one at each side. Each player is assigned a colour. LED buttons of that colour light up randomly across the whole top surface, including in sections belonging to other players. Hit your colour wherever it appears and score a point. First to 100 wins; the game times out at 30 seconds regardless.

The central display shows each player's running score and the time remaining. The game can run with two or four players.

Pair it with our magnetic scoreboard for a tournament format across the day. Games are 30 seconds and the scores are clear on the central display, so recording results between rounds is straightforward for whoever's running it. From our warehouse in Rotherham we're five minutes from the A1, M1 and M18, which puts us within easy reach of the whole of South Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire and the Midlands. We deliver regularly to ExCeL London, NEC Birmingham, Manchester Central, Olympia London and ACC Liverpool, as well as most other major UK exhibition venues.
