The compact Batak reaction wall
The Batak Lite - also known as the Batak reaction wall or Batak wall - is the smaller of the two Batak units designed by Dr D.W. Nelson and manufactured by DN Publications in West Sussex. Where the Batak Pro has 12 targets stretched across a full-size frame, the Lite has 8 targets in a compact stainless-steel unit that fits on exhibition stands where floor space is tight. The targets are a bit closer together and easier to reach, which also makes it the better option when children are playing.
Eight bright LED targets light up in random or programmed sequences and you hit them as fast as you can against the clock. Seven programmes are built in, from 30-second accumulators to endurance rounds. The most popular is the 30-second sprint, which is the one that draws queues on exhibition stands. Hits and misses are timed and scored on two central LED displays, and voice prompts ("Get Ready", "Go", "Time Out") guide each player through the round.
It works on a stand because it's quick and visible. Each round is over in half a minute, which keeps the queue moving and gives your team a steady stream of people to talk to. We've been hiring Batak units for over 20 years from our 25,000 sq ft warehouse in Rotherham, and we carry the largest stock of Batak games available for hire in the UK - so if you need several units on one stand or across multiple venues on the same day, that's straightforward.
