Giant Tilting Labyrinth Hire
The Giant Labyrinth - also called a tilting labyrinth, tilt maze, marble maze, or labyrinth tilt maze - is a 4ft × 3.5ft playing surface of raised wooden walls and numbered hazard holes, controlled by two knobs on adjacent sides of the unit. One knob tilts the board front-to-back and the other tilts it left-to-right. Work both at the same time and you can steer a ball in any direction through the maze; let the tilt get away from you and the ball drops through one of the numbered holes.
The aim is to guide the ball through the maze without dropping it through any of the numbered holes. It takes about thirty seconds to explain and the rest is concentration - which means guests can walk up, have a go, and come back for another attempt without needing anyone standing beside it to run the game.
In two-player mode, each person takes one knob and controls one axis of tilt. That turns it from a solo dexterity challenge into a coordination exercise - you have to communicate to steer the ball together, which is what makes it useful as a team building activity rather than just a standalone game.
