Giant Buzz Wire Hire
The Megawire is a floor-standing buzz wire game - also called a steady hand game, wire loop game or mega wire depending on who's asking. The frame holds a twisted metal wire track that rises about 4ft above a base unit, and there's a wand (a metal loop on a handle with a coiled cable) that players use to navigate from one end of the wire to the other without making contact. Touch the wire and the buzzer sounds and the lights flash.
A built-in LED timer counts throughout the attempt, so running it as a timed leaderboard competition requires almost no effort from your team - write the scores on a whiteboard or pair it with our giant timer and it runs itself.
The unit runs from an internal battery, so no mains supply is needed at the venue. There are two operating modes available: light only, or light and buzzer - useful if you're in a quiet conference setting and want to keep the noise down.
We've been hiring this out since 1999 for exhibition stands, freshers fairs, corporate fun days, charity fundraisers and school events. The Collect+ image alongside shows the kind of crowd draw it gets in a busy indoor venue.
