Mega KerPlunk Game

A childhood classic, scaled right up

The Mega KerPlunk - also written Ker Plunk or Ker-Plunk, sometimes called a ball drop or stick-pull game - is the full-size version of the old table-top game. Up to four players at a time take turns pulling wooden sticks from a red mesh tower, trying not to be the one who lets the balls drop through. Whoever has the fewest balls by the end wins, so it comes down to nerve as much as anything.

Because each go is quick and four people can play at once, the game turns over fast on a busy stand or at a fair. There's no power needed, no rules to explain, and it sets up in minutes on any flat surface.

We've been hiring out event games for over 25 years, and we own and stock the Mega KerPlunk in our warehouse in Rotherham. It comes to you on our own vehicles with delivery and setup by our own team.

How it plays

The setup is straightforward. Wooden sticks are pushed through the mesh to form a criss-cross lattice, and the balls sit on top. Players pull one stick at a time, and the balls get closer to dropping as the lattice thins out. The closer the balls get to the bottom, the more careful people tend to be with their next move.

It holds up well on a busy stand where you can't tie anyone down to supervise a single game. People can walk up, take a turn, and walk off again, which tends to be the idea at a freshers fair or exhibition where you're trying to keep visitors moving through your space.

If you're putting a few classic games together on one stand, the Mega KerPlunk sits well next to Giant Jenga, Giant Connect 4 and the Giant Operation Game - all part of our carnival games range.
