Gashapon Machine Hire

The gashapon machine - also called a gachapon machine, capsule vending machine, or gumball machine - is a 6ft white rounded unit with a large clear dome full of capsules on top. You turn the rotary knob on the front and a capsule drops into the tray at the base, which is simple enough that anyone gets it without being told.

At events, it runs in free play mode, so there's no coin or token barrier between your guest and their capsule. You fill the dome with what you want inside: we supply empty capsules you can load with vouchers, QR codes, branded merchandise, product samples or small prizes, or pre-filled capsules with small toys if you'd rather we handle the contents. We also stock coloured plastic balls for competition setups - fill the machine with one colour and scatter a few of a second colour among them, and each turn carries a bit of anticipation about whether this is a winner.

LED lighting runs around the base, which gives it visible presence on a busy exhibition floor or in a dimly lit venue. The machine sits on castors, so it can be wheeled into position on the day and moved if the layout changes.

We've been hiring out interactive games at exhibitions and corporate events since 1999, from our 25,000 sq ft warehouse in Rotherham - five minutes from the A1, M1 and M18.

Branding

The body panels of the machine take full custom wrapping - company logos, campaign graphics, event artwork. All of that is designed, printed, applied and removed by our in-house team in Rotherham, so there's no outside print supplier in the loop. Custom branding starts from £125+VAT.

For brand activations, having the machine wrapped in your branding and the capsules filled with your own items is what makes the hire worth doing: guests leave with something physical - a discount code, a QR card, a product sample, a branded item - and the experience of turning a knob and taking a capsule tends to stick with people in a way that being handed a leaflet doesn't.

If you're running the machine in token mode with empty clear capsules, pack a small amount of tissue or crepe paper inside each one - the dispense sensor can't detect transparent objects, so the paper gives it something to register.

Suitable for all ages. 1 player at a time, though the queue tends to move quickly - there isn't much that can hold someone up when the mechanic is just turning a knob.

Which Locations Do We Cover?

From our warehouse in Rotherham we're five minutes from the A1, M1 and M18, which puts us within easy reach of the whole of Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and the Midlands. We deliver regularly to ExCeL London, NEC Birmingham, Manchester Central, Olympia London and ACC Liverpool, as well as most other major UK exhibition venues. Europe-wide delivery is available for larger packages.
