Strike Zone Table Bowling Game

Strike Zone is bowling shrunk down onto a table top - also called table bowling, puck bowling or a mini bowling game. You slide three pucks down a marked lane and the aim is to flip every pin on the rack at the far end. Get them all down in your three goes and that's a strike. Two players can go head to head and keep score, or you just race each other to be first to clear the pins.

There's a bit more to it than it looks. The pucks slide rather than roll, so you're judging the line and the weight of each one, and it's easy to leave a pin or two standing like a split in ten-pin bowling, which is the bit that keeps people coming back for another go. It plays the same for a child as it does for an adult, and the rules take about ten seconds to explain.

It's an American game, made by Wertz Werkz over in Milwaukee, and it's a self-contained table-top unit, so it sits happily on an exhibition stand, a corporate fun day or a freshers' fair without needing much room. We deliver it on its own table, set up and ready to play.

Branding and How It's Used

We hire Strike Zone for corporate fun days, exhibition stands, school and university events, charity fundraisers and pub nights, and it works either as a carnival side-stall or as a quick stand attraction that gets a queue going. The lane and the back panel are flat surfaces, so it brands up well - we print a sub-dye table skirt and can wrap the scoreboard too, all printed, applied and removed by us. The skirt is one we keep hold of and reuse free of charge on your next booking, and there's more on our branding service.

It usually goes out as part of a bigger order rather than on its own. Sophie hired a run of our carnival games and said it was "incredible, great value for money, super friendly and punctual staff", which is the usual shape of a Strike Zone booking - a few games together for an event rather than the one lane.

We also hire Whip N Skip from the same American maker, if you want to pair a couple of table-top games on a stand.

Venues We Deliver To

We hire from a 25,000 sq ft warehouse in Rotherham, five minutes from the A1, M1 and M18, so most of the UK is within easy reach. We regularly deliver exhibition and carnival games to NEC Birmingham, ExCeL London, Manchester Central, Olympia London and Harrogate Convention Centre, with Europe-wide delivery available for larger packages.

We own and maintain 95% of the kit we hire and have been supplying exhibition and carnival games since 1999, so Strike Zone turns up tested and ready, with one delivery, one invoice and one contact for your whole event.

Common Questions

Does Strike Zone need its own table?

No. It's a self-contained table-top unit and we deliver it set up on its own table, so you don't need to find one or set anything up. All it needs is a flat spot and a bit of standing room at the player's end.

Where does the game come from?

It's an American carnival game, made by Wertz Werkz in Milwaukee, who describe it as bowling with a twist. We brought it over because it does something a bit different from the usual side-stalls - bowling on a table, with pucks instead of a ball.

Is it down to luck, or is there skill to it?

There's a knack to it. The pucks slide rather than roll, so you're reading the line and the pace, and it's easy to leave a pin standing like a split in ten-pin bowling. That's the bit that gets people lining up for another three pucks.
