Two-player pop-a-shot basketball
The Double Shot is a two-player, head-to-head basketball game - two hoops mounted side by side on the same unit, a sloped lane printed with court markings, an LED scoreboard on the backboard and a return that feeds the balls back to the players after each shot. It goes by a few other names depending on who's asking: a pop-a-shot, a basketball shootout, twin basketball hoops, or just an arcade basketball game.
We run two of these in the fleet. One is a MightyMast Leisure "Shootout Hoops" machine with red rims and a TIME / HOME / VISITOR scoreboard; the other is an MD Sports unit. Both are folding, free-standing units on a tubular frame, and they play the same way, so which one turns up depends on what's already out on the day - tell us if you have a preference and we'll sort it.
It works on an exhibition stand because it's quick and it's a head-to-head, so players come up two at a time, the scores go on a leaderboard, and your team gets a steady stream of people to talk to without anyone being sold at. At full tilt it handles up to 60 players an hour.
