The hire runs to three boards, each 100cm wide and 180cm tall, all standing on metal poles with red sandbag weights at the base so they hold steady on hard standing or grass without needing anyone to watch over them. The artwork is retro British seaside illustration - the sort that would have been on a rack of postcards a few decades back: a couple sitting together in striped deckchairs (the woman in a red polka dot dress holding an ice cream, the man in a white cap), two figures in Victorian-era red-and-white striped swimsuits paddling at the water's edge, and a third figure in the same period gear on the beach. The couple designs each have two face holes, so two people can get into the same shot, which is usually what draws a queue once the boards are set up.
These are also referred to as peep boards, head-through-the-hole boards or photo stand-ins - the tradition goes back to British seaside resorts and fairgrounds, and they tend to work just as well at a corporate fun day in a marquee as they do at a village fête. They are self-operating, so guests run the photo opportunity themselves without needing a member of staff from us.
We have deployed these at events for clients including Amazon alongside our wider seaside hire range. They are part of our photo booth and photo opportunity hire, which also includes full digital booths, 360 booths and AI photo experiences.
