Circus Face-in-the-Hole Photo Board
The board is 100cm wide and 180cm tall, with three face-holes cut at different heights. On the left there is a ringmaster in a full red coat and black top hat; above him, an aerial artist in a purple leotard caught mid-performance through a hoop; and on the right, a toy soldier in a blue military uniform with gold epaulettes, standing on a stool - which puts the hole at a reasonable height for children without anyone having to bend. The whole scene is framed by red stage curtains with a spotlight from above, making it a recognisable circus setting that is not tied to any particular show or production.
The format goes by a few names - face-in-the-hole board, peep board, circus cut-out, photo stand-in - but most guests know what to do when they see one. No power is required, there is nothing technical to set up, and the photos people take tend to circulate beyond the event itself.
We have been hiring out photo boards and cut-outs from our Sheffield warehouse since 1999. This circus design has gone out to corporate family fun days, school events, circus-themed parties and marketing activations. The hire comes with delivery; collection from our Rotherham base is also available, subject to a deposit and ID check.
