Last One Standing with Walls Wipeout, a blue and black walled inflatable sweeper arena with padded entrance pillars

Last One Standing with Walls Wipeout

Walled sweeper hire from £595 plus VAT - a 9.4 metre square inflatable bed, eight players a round, and padded walls to keep the game contained.

The Big Walled Bed

Eight players take a numbered podium each and the padded arm sets off round the bed, building speed with every rotation until only one person is left on their feet. It's the sweeper from Total Wipeout in inflatable form, so there's very little explaining to do once a crowd has gathered. You'll also hear the game called the sweeper, last man standing or meltdown - it's the same format under every name.

The padded walls run right round the bed, unlike our original open-bed sweeper: players who come off a podium tumble back into the arena rather than out of it, which keeps things tidy where spectators are stood close, and the unit goes up on hardstanding just as readily as on grass.

The bed is 9.4 metres square, so it reads as a centrepiece rather than a side attraction at any event that can fit it. The Ultimate Wipeout is the compact option at 6.4 metres, with two arms running at different heights so players jump one and duck under the other - worth a look if floor space is tight. Both sit among our wider inflatable games range.

The Events It Suits

  • School Fetes and Rewards Days

The age range runs from 5 to adult and rounds turn over quickly, so a queue of children keeps moving through a fete afternoon.

  • Corporate Fun Days and Team Building

Eight players a round makes heats straightforward - put teams through in a bracket and the format runs itself.

  • Carnivals and County Shows

When we ran it at the Rotherham Show alongside our helter skelter and the mega slide, it pulled a queue that stayed with it from opening to close.

  • Birthday Parties

The mixed-age format works at family parties, where the children and the grown-ups all want a go at the same game.

  • Knockout-Style Competitions

It slots into an It's a Knockout style programme as one of the scored rounds between the other team games.

What Hirers Say

Kim Brooks had this unit out with a disco dome and the 70ft assault course, and said, "Spot on as usual, staff are a real credit to the company polite and helpful." Selina Cawkwell Finneran had a sweeper with an assault course for a family birthday, and told us, "We had the Total Wipeout and the Assault Course for our daughter's birthday. The kids loved it (and the big kids) and Kane was brilliant with them."

Three sweepers live in the warehouse now - this walled bed, the original open-bed version and the Ultimate Wipeout - because the format books out steadily year after year. Every hire includes £5 million public liability insurance, with risk assessments and method statements emailed to you or your venue before the event.

We've been hiring event kit out since 1999, from a 25,000 sq ft warehouse in Rotherham that sits five minutes off the A1, M1 and M18, and we own and maintain around 95% of what's listed on this site. Outdoor venues like Newark Showground and the Great Yorkshire Events Centre are regular runs for kit this size, and delivery, set up and collection by our own team are all part of the price.

Sweeper Hire Questions

How much space does the Last One Standing with Walls need?

Mark out 35ft x 35ft (10.7m x 10.7m) of flat ground with 15ft (4.6m) of clear height above it. The bed itself measures 31ft x 31ft (9.4m x 9.4m), and the extra margin allows safe access round the outside of the walls.

What's the difference between this and the Ultimate Wipeout?

This one is the larger unit - a 9.4 metre square walled bed, where players who lose their footing stay inside the arena. The Ultimate Wipeout is a 6.4 metre bed with two arms at different heights, one to jump over and one to duck under. Both take up to eight players a round; the walled version suits bigger sites and closer crowds.

How many players go on at once?

Up to eight, each on their own numbered podium. Rounds work as an everyone-for-themselves free-for-all or as team heats, and the arm builds speed with every rotation until one player is left standing.

Can it go on tarmac or concrete?

Yes - it sets up on grass, hardstanding, artificial grass and wood chip, indoors or outdoors, so a car park or a playground works as well as a field. The walls keep players inside the bed whichever surface it stands on.
