Fish Bowl Challenge side stall under a red and white striped canopy with the One In To Win flight case on the table

Fish Bowl Challenge Hire

Hire the classic One In To Win fish bowl stall from £295.

A fairground classic that earns its floor space

The Fish Bowl Challenge is the side stall where players throw coloured ping pong balls into a grid of glass fish bowls. The game travels in a red flight case: the lid props open to spell out One In To Win, the striped Fish Bowl backdrop stands behind it, and the case sits on a trestle table at standing height with a throwing line in front. A ball only just fits the mouth of a bowl, so a soft, accurate throw does much better than a firm one, and it tends to take people a few goes to find that out. Children and adults can both play.

On an exhibition stand or at a trade show it has a fair bit going for it. The whole thing is manual, so there's nothing to plug in and nothing to add to the stand's electrical load, and it sets up indoors or out on almost any surface. It's also a game most visitors already know from seaside holidays, which means people start playing without much explanation - and every throw gives the people on your stand a reason to start a conversation with whoever is at the line.

We hire it on its own for promotions and parties, or as one stall in a row of side games.

Branding and staffing

For corporate promotions and brand activations we can put your artwork on the game. Graphics are printed as sticker transfers, applied before your event and removed afterwards, and because the transfers suit a single hire period, branding is bought per booking rather than once. Our in-house branding team handles the print.

The hire doesn't include an attendant. If you'd rather your own people stayed on stand conversations, one of our team can run the stall for up to three hours - see our staffing page for pricing. If you want prizes for winners as well, we can add those to the quote.

One supplier for the stall, the van and the crew

We've been hiring out funfair games since 1999, and the Fish Bowl Challenge is our own stock, kept at our 25,000 sq ft warehouse between Sheffield and Rotherham. The case, the vehicle and the set-up team all come through one booking rather than a chain of sub-hires, and around 95% of the equipment on this site is ours.

We deliver UK-wide, with several runs a week to exhibition venues including the NEC Birmingham, ExCeL London, Manchester Central and the Telford International Centre. You'll also see this game listed elsewhere as a fish bowl toss, a ping pong toss or a goldfish toss. It's the same stall whatever the name.

If you'd rather have the fish bowl as one bay of a bigger attraction, the Grand Carnival Fun Fair Stalls put fish bowl, ring toss, ball in a bucket and tin can alley into one inflatable unit.

Sophie, who hired a set of carnival games from us for an event, said:

"We hired a number of pieces of carnival games from DB Entertainment and wow! It was incredible, great value for money, super friendly and punctual staff."

How does the One In To Win fish bowl game work?

Players throw coloured ping pong balls from a line at the grid of glass bowls. A throw only counts if the ball lands and stays in a bowl, and the ball only just fits the mouth, so a soft, accurate throw wins far more often than a big one.

Does the Fish Bowl Challenge need power?

No. The game is fully manual: the case sits on a trestle table at standing height with the backdrop behind it and a throwing line in front, so there is nothing to plug in and nothing to add to your stand's electrical load.

Can the stall be branded for a promotion?

Yes. Graphics are printed as sticker transfers and applied to the case before your event, then removed afterwards. The transfers are only suitable for one hire period, so branding is purchased per booking rather than once.

Is this the same game as the fish bowl bay in the Grand Carnival stalls?

It's the same game. The Grand Carnival Fun Fair Stalls house fish bowl, ring toss, ball in a bucket and tin can alley as four bays in one inflatable stall, while this page is for the fish bowl hired on its own with its own striped backdrop and canopy dressing.
