4.2m Heras-Style Vehicle Access Gate Set

This is a pair of galvanised steel gate panels that clip into our Heras temporary fencing to give you a 4.2m vehicle access point in a perimeter fence line. Each panel is 2.1m wide and 2m high, made from anti-climb mesh with rounded top edges, and they join in the middle with a drop-bolt latch that takes a padlock.

The gates run on wheel castors at the base, so opening and closing them is straightforward even on uneven ground. They connect to standard Heras panels via steel couplers, which means you can slot them into an existing run of fencing without leaving a gap.

Price is for one set of gates. Signage is extra, and delivery charges may apply depending on where you are. We've been hiring temporary fencing from our 25,000 sq ft warehouse near the M1 for over 25 years - we've supplied fencing for sites at the NEC Birmingham, ExCeL London and Manchester Central among others - so if you need a full perimeter package - panels, feet, couplers, gates, the lot - we can put that together for you. All hires include £5 million public liability insurance as standard, and we'll email risk assessments to you or your venue before the event.

Long-term hire rates start from £10 per week per barrier, minimum term applies.

Common Questions

What size opening does the gate provide?

The two panels together give a 4.2m clear opening, which handles vehicles up to about 4m wide - that covers most vans, lorries under 7.5 tonnes, and small plant machinery. If you need a wider or different access arrangement, get in touch and we'll see what we can put together.

Is it compatible with standard Heras fencing panels?

Yes. The gate panels connect to standard Heras fence panels (sometimes called Harris fencing) using steel couplers on the hinges. If you're hiring panels from us, everything lines up. If you already have Heras fencing from another supplier, the couplers should still fit - it's an industry-standard connection.

Can the gate be locked?

The drop-bolt latch in the centre is padlock-compatible, so you can secure it with your own padlock. For unattended sites or high-security perimeters, we'd recommend adding anti-tamper couplers on the panel connections as well - just mention it when you enquire and we'll include them in the quote.
