What the JSP RoadHog cone is
The JSP RoadHog is a 500mm one-piece moulded traffic cone - also called a safety cone or road cone - made entirely from recycled PVC. It is manufactured by JSP Safety in Oxfordshire and is the cone we send out when an event needs proper site marking rather than lightweight disposable cones that blow over at the first gust.
Each cone carries a Sealbrite R1B reflective sleeve that meets EN13422, the European standard for traffic cone visibility and performance. The one-piece moulded construction means there is no separate base to come loose or go missing in transit, and the extended black base keeps the cone upright without needing a sandbag. There is a 360° handgrip moulded into the top for carrying and for attaching barrier tape, which comes in handy when you are marking out pedestrian routes or cordoning off delivery areas.
We hire them in batches of 100 for up to a week, which tends to be the right quantity for most event sites, car parks and private road closures. If you need plastic chain and cone chain holders to link them together, we can add those to the same booking.
We have been hiring out event infrastructure from our warehouse in Rotherham since 1999, and we own and maintain the kit in-house rather than subbing it out. Every hire includes £5 million public liability insurance, with risk assessments and method statements emailed to you or your venue before the event.
