This is our Bounce a Ball cabinet in its carnival skin - Step Right Up! across the header board, big top stripes down the sides and a matching skirt round the base. Two players stand side by side, each bouncing balls off their own launch pad into the holes on the sloped board above, which are worth five points at the top slots, three in the centre and two at the bottom. Every score lights more of your race track above the playfield, and the first player to the FINISH! marker wins.
Curved rails round each hole feed the balls back down to your end, so play runs continuously without anyone scrambling round on the floor for lost balls. The lighting, the scoring and the sound - there are two speakers built into the header - all live in the cabinet, so beyond a power point there is nothing else to sort on site.
The artwork is a set of printed panels rather than the cabinet itself, which is why this game turns up in more than one guise. The Christmas version is Bounce a Ball Reindeer Racing, and there's the standard Bounce a Ball Game in Home Stretch, Speedway 500 or Slam Dunk trim. Two cabinets will also sit side by side if you'd rather race four players at once.

On top of product launches and stand promotions, it's a regular at office parties, staff events and sports halls, which is where a good few of the photos below were taken.
