The Standard Event Chair
This is the chair you've sat on at a thousand events. The seat and back are black polypropylene, the frame's steel, it folds flat and stacks when you're done. Sometimes called a samsonite chair or a poly folding chair - same thing.
We've been hiring these out for 25 years, give or take. They're the workhorse of the event seating world because they do the job without fuss. Light enough to carry a few at a time, strong enough to hold 115kg, and they fold flat so you can stack 40 of them in the corner when the event's over.
The seat's contoured - not luxuriously comfortable, but you can sit in one for a couple of hours without shifting about too much. The frame's 19mm steel tube, riveted and powder-coated black. It meets BS 4875 Level 4 for contract use, which is the standard for commercial seating that gets used day in, day out.
We've got them in storage at our warehouse near Rotherham - 25,000 square foot of it, five minutes off the M1. We own 95% of what we hire out, so when you book chairs from us, you're getting the actual chairs in the photos, not something subcontracted from a third party.
