Close enough to be useful

Manchester is around 45 miles from the warehouse. In practice that means a Manchester Central build-up is a normal working morning, a same-week booking is usually possible, and if something needs collecting and returning mid-show we can do it inside a day. Liverpool adds another half hour and behaves much the same.

We have been supplying Manchester Central for over twenty years, which is long enough to know the awkward bits of the building rather than just its floor plan.

The venues

Manchester Central on Windmill Street is the former Central railway station, and the column-free main hall is what makes it worth knowing. A stand there can be built without working around structure, which opens up bigger game layouts than most halls of that age allow. It hosts party conferences and major conventions as well as trade exhibitions, so the same building might want a quiet delegate-facing game one month and a full activation the next.

Past Manchester Central bookings include direct work for Roke Manor Research and Staysure, plus repeat whitelabel deliveries through activation agencies. The stands there tend to pair a Magnetic Topgear Score Leader Board with a Giant Buzz Wire, Giant Operation Game or Strike a Light, branded on the bottom and back boards. We have also sent Pick 'N' Mix Sweetie Stands and branded Crack the Code safes.

EventCity at Trafford used to take the larger consumer-show end of this, but it closed in 2021 and the site has been cleared, so that work has redistributed. Over in Liverpool, ACC Liverpool sits on the Kings Dock waterfront with the M&S Bank Arena attached, and we have supplied stands there since 2016. ACC bookings have included a Gold Bar Challenge with a Magic Selfie Mirror Photo Booth running 400 prints, a Double Shot Basketball Game for a consumer activation, and a combined leader board, Prize Crane and The Vault stand.

Party conference season

Manchester Central hosting party conferences puts a particular set of constraints on anything we bring in. Security screening applies to vehicles and to kit, access windows are narrower than a normal exhibition, and the accreditation process runs weeks ahead rather than days. None of it is difficult, but all of it needs the paperwork submitted early, so tell us at quote stage if that is the event you are working on.

For the rest of the North West we cover on a job-by-job basis rather than keeping venue pages for every hall. If your venue is not listed under locations, it is still worth asking.
