Soft Axe Throwing
Axe throwing has been one of the most-asked-for activities on our books for a while now. We looked at running the real version and decided against it - it didn't get through our risk assessment, and we'd rather not hand a sharpened blade to a guest at a fun day. The soft version does the same job without the netting and safety briefing a real lane needs.
The set is two target boards, each on its own folding stand, with a bristle face printed as a round target - a red bullseye in the middle, then white, blue and grey rings out to the edge. It comes with a set of red and blue soft axes, so two people can go head-to-head from a throwing line a few feet back. The axes are soft-headed and light enough for a child to throw, and they stick into the bristle board on a good hit rather than bouncing off. Closest to the bullseye wins, or you can score by the rings and play first to a number, whichever suits the group.
It holds up well indoors or out, on grass, artificial grass or a hard floor, so it works on an exhibition stand, a corporate fun day or a wedding lawn. You'll see it listed elsewhere as soft axe throwing, plastic axe throwing or twin axe throwing - it's the same kind of game.
