Upright Retro Arcade Game Hire

A standing retro arcade cabinet for exhibition stands, trade shows, office parties and brand activations - the full-size upright format people remember from an eighties arcade, loaded with a multigame board rather than a single title.

The board is a Pandora's Box multigame system, so players pick from an on-screen menu of classics. Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Galaxian, Frogger and 1942 all feature in the cabinet artwork, and the on-screen menu runs to hundreds of titles. It's set to free play, so there's nothing to feed in and nobody hunting for change. Our stock is a mix of RetroCab-branded multigame cabinets and themed wraps - Marvel, Super Mario, Street Fighter II and the Pac-Man and Space Invaders artwork - so if you want a particular look on the stand we can usually match it. The side panels can be rewrapped in your own artwork too, printed and applied by our in-house branding team and taken off after the hire.

The upright format pulls people onto a stand. The marquee and side art catch the eye down an aisle, a player steps up for a quick go, and a fighting game or a Pac-Man chase gives your team a natural opening for a conversation. We've put these cabinets on exhibition stands at the NEC and ExCeL, at office Christmas dos, freshers fairs and out as a branded fixture on corporate promotions. It's the standing counterpart to our cocktail sit-down retro arcade, which sits lower and keeps players at the table for longer.

We've been hiring arcade kit out of Sheffield since 1999, and the 25,000 sq ft warehouse in Rotherham holds around 95% of what goes out, so the cabinet is prepped and repaired on site by our own team. Every hire carries £5 million public liability cover, and we prepare the risk assessment and method statement and get them to your venue before setup day. If a brand rollout calls for a cabinet at several sites in one day, we can put one on each - get in touch with your dates and we'll price it up.

Where we deliver

Cabinets travel upright in our own vehicles, and we're just outside Sheffield, five minutes from the A1, M1 and M18, so South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and the North East are routine runs. Larger packages go out to NEC Birmingham, ExCeL London and Manchester Central, and Europe-wide deliveries are doable too - get in touch for a quote.

Everything needed to run the cabinet comes with the hire. A few extras sit well with it on a stand or at a promotion: a magnetic scoreboard for a high-score contest through the day, LED uplighters to lift it under hall lighting, a powered PA for announcements, and post-and-rope barriers for a tidy queue.
