A staffed hot dog stand for your event

The machine is a commercial hot dog steamer behind a glass front, with a red canopy over the top. Frankfurters sit hot in the steam compartments below while buns warm on the shelves above, and the glass does the merchandising for you - people can see exactly what they're queuing for. It plugs into a standard mains socket and works on a hall floor, on grass, or on hard standing outside.

It goes out with one of our team in uniform to set it up, serve for the full hire and clear it away at the end, which is rather the point of it on an exhibition stand. Your people keep having conversations while ours keep the queue fed, and a free jumbo frankfurter on a giant bun holds a visitor's attention for a few minutes longer than a branded pen ever will. The steam carries across a trade show floor too, which does a fair bit of the advertising for nothing.

We've been hiring out of the same warehouse in Rotherham since 1999, and around 95% of our kit is owned and maintained in-house. Every booking carries £5 million public liability insurance, with indemnity to principal cover when we supply staff, and risk assessments and method statements emailed to you or your venue before the event.

If the queue outlasts the stock, extra dogs work out at £2.25 each ordered in batches of 24 - give us rough visitor numbers when you book and we'll load the steamer to match.

Serving tongs hang at the side of the unit, and the server keeps the bun shelf topped up from the steaming compartments, so every dog goes out properly hot. The frankfurters are genuinely jumbo ones, so a single dog is a proper snack rather than a mouthful, which matters if you're feeding people through a full show day.

Delivery to your venue

The steamer lives in our 25,000 sq ft warehouse in Rotherham, five minutes from the A1, M1 and M18. Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley and Chesterfield are routine runs, West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester are regular, and we're delivering to NEC Birmingham, Manchester Central and ExCeL London most weeks during show season. It travels as part of a bigger fun food or exhibition order just as easily as it does on its own.

Can we hire the steamer without a server?

Yes. The standard price includes a uniformed server for a three-hour window, but the steamer goes out on dry hire as well if you'd rather put your own people behind it. Ask for the dry-hire rate when you request your quote and we'll price both ways so you can compare.

What power does the steamer need?

It plugs into a standard mains socket. If your pitch is a field site or a hall floor with no socket in reach, we can bring a generator as part of the booking and size it to run the steamer for the full service window.
